Title: ‘Performance of “Shell of Time” at NAHA CULTURAL ARTS THEATER NAHArt’

We’re thrilled to announce the debut performance of “Shell of Time” at NAHA CULTURAL ARTS THEATER “NAHArt”. The show has been directed by our company’s board member Takashi Ikegami, and we were in charge of the production of the drone swarm, 300 tiny robots, and VR.

Exploring the theme of “between humans and machines,” a dialogue was formed between choreographer and dancer, Un Yamada, and Alife (artificial life) researcher, Takashi Ikegami. In 2022, this long-term project was born. This performance seeks to unveil a new artistic expression that reconciles art and science brought about by the communication between humans and machines. The performance in Okinawa features Un Yamada dancing with a swarm of robots, immersing in a VR world, and interacting with a giant language model. Joining the production for costume, set, and video design are Alternative Machine, who attempts to implement Alife in society, and Synflux, who explores the next generation of fashion systems using digital technology.
